Preparing Your Photos For Service:
The way you prepare your photos will be the way
they appear on the DVD. Here are some tips:

  • FAST, attentive service at affordable rates

  • WMPO is a LOCAL, independent company best suited to
    meet your individual needs

  • Your completed scanning package includes a thumbnail
    album with file names of each photo for easy reference.
  1. It's always best to use cotton gloves while handling
    photographic prints.
  2. Remove photos from albums.
  3. Carefully remove dust particles by using a vacuum or
    a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth.
  4. Organize photos into batches. You can sort photos by
    subject, year it was taken, etc. Rubber bands, Zip-loc
    bags, or manila folders work well for this.
  5. Ensure all photos have the same orientation: front to
    back and top to bottom.
  6. Set aside photos that require special handling *:
  • Photos in a permanent cardboard frame
  • Extremely fragile photos
  • Photos thicker than 1.5 mm (Most Polaroid photos
    and postcards do not require special handling).
  • Photos smaller than a business card.
* "Special Handling" photos require manual
scanning. There is an additional charge.
